head shot

Hello! I’m Gabrielle– wife, mom to 2 rambunctious boys, and lover of savings, simplicity and creativity.

Welcome to my blog, where I write about living an abundant life without breaking the bank or losing your mind. I’m so glad you stopped by. Please don’t forget to subscribe by email so you don’t miss a thing!

My Day Jobs…

Hubby and I are Student Pastors to about 40 awesome young people! We absolutely love working with Riot Student Ministry. They keep us young and they keep me current on all the crazy teenage things going on in the world. 😉 Being a woman in ministry is really awesome. It’s so nice to be a part of a church that encourages women to minister. I also write for MinisteringWomen.com; you should go check it out and meet all of the other awesome ladies God is using!

I am also a preschool director. That’s fun stuff. I get to hang out with about 80 kiddos everyday. I’m not sure if they keep me young or are giving me gray hair. Probably both! 😉

My Background…

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in New Media-Journalism from Valparaiso University. I love words, I love writing and I love my Alma Mater.

I worked in a law firm from the time I was 17 until I graduated college. The original plan was to study Political Science and go to Valpo Law, but I decided that was not for me. God decided it, too. We were on the same page, as I always try to be.

My Family…

Here is my lovely family. My dear husband, Ian, is super supportive of my blogging endeavors. He never complains of all the time blogging takes away from him and the children. I’m so blessed to have a man who supports me in all things! And look at those handsome boys, I’m so blessed to have happy, healthy children!

Ian and I met when we were 17 (at his parent’s law firm) and married when we were 18. We supported ourselves, worked full-time and attended college full-time. Our parents must have been so shocked when we got engaged so young! Everyone supported us though, and we have been happily married for almost 10 years.

The Love of My Life…

Jesus Christ is my everything. He saved me, He loves me and I am His. He is the most important thing to me. He has given me everything I have and He continues to provide. If you don’t know Him, you should get to know him ASAP. He loves you, He died for you and He wants you to draw nearer to Him. You won’t regret it!

That’s my life in a nut shell. I’m following my husband as we follow Christ, and living the most amazing life! Now that we are friends, you should totally go back to my home page and read my latest post!!
